The Hotdisc chart is compiled from DJs and industry professionals’ ratings of songs currently being promoted on the Rush Released CD. They are not airplay charts, as airplay charts cannot work in Europe because there are no terrestrial country stations. The hundreds of country programmes on air which we service are likely to play a particular song only twice at most in a three month period, therefore rendering airplay charts insignificant in Europe. It works well in America where there are plenty of non-stop country stations but it does not work here. Any Airplay Chart you may see claiming to provide this service is bogus and Hotdisc does not condone these charts at all. They are misleading at best for the reasons stated.

The Hotdisc charts are put together weekly using ratings supplied by DJs who give scores to every song on the last three months’ editions of Rush Released. The scores are averaged out per week to give an accurate guide to the songs which are being championed by the industry. The aim is to showcase the songs which the industry professionals are flagging up as quality songs. This is a very useful exercise as it is free of politics, hype and rigging and done solely on merit!

Kellie Pickler - Courtesy: Black River EntertainmentPickler Will Also Perform National Anthem at Sunday’s “Crown Royal Presents the Jeff Kyle 400 at the Brickyard at Indianapolis Motor Speedway” Broadcast Live on NBC Sports Network

NASHVILLE, TENN. – (July 21, 2015) – Tonight, singer/songwriter Kellie Pickler will show up unexpectedly on several doorsteps with a big surprise for the homeowners when “Knock Knock Live” premieres on FOX Television at 9:00 PM/ET (8:00 PM/CT).  The Ryan Seacrest-hosted television series will feature Pickler and other co-hosts including Adrienne Bailon, Jordan “Shorty” Johnson, Chuey Martinez, Ross Mathews, and Tyler Posey, who will travel across the country and go door-to-door to surprise people who were nominated by their family and friends.

Later this week on Sunday, July 26, Pickler will perform the National Anthem at the “Crown Royal Presents the Jeff Kyle 400 at the Brickyard at Indianapolis Motor Speedway,” which will air live on NBC Sports Network beginning at 3:30 PM/ET (2:30 PM/CT). The NASCAR race honors Sergeant Jeff Kyle, who served eight years in the Marines and was deployed multiple times to Iraq and Africa. Pickler met Kyle’s parents earlier this year at CMA Music Festival in Nashville when they presented her with the 2015 Operation Troop Aid Chris Kyle Patriot Award for the acknowledgement for her unwavering and impassioned support and contributions to the United States Armed Forces and their families. The singer/songwriter has been a strong supporter of America’s military men and women and their families, and has performed on eight USO Tours thus far.

In-between work on “Knock Knock Live,” her upcoming CMT reality series “I Love Kellie Pickler,” and her home goods line in cooperation with the Opry Stores, “Selma Drye by Kellie Pickler,” the Black River Entertainment recording artist is also working on her next album.  Her first single, “Feeling Tonight,” is currently being heard on SiriusXM Satellite Radio.

About Kellie Pickler

Kellie Pickler grew up immersed in country music in the small town of Albemarle, North Carolina with the words of Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton shaping her musical footing. At the age of 19, she gained fame as a contestant on the fifth season of “American Idol.”  In 2006, she signed with 19 Recordings/BNA Records and released her debut album, Small Town Girl, which has gone on to sell more than 900,000 copies worldwide and produce three hit singles: “Red High Heels,” “I Wonder,” and “Things That Never Cross a Man’s Mind.” She followed that in 2008 with her self-titled sophomore record, featuring country radio hits “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful,” “Best Days of Your Life” (co-written with Taylor Swift and her first Top 10), and “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You.”  Having established herself as not only a powerful vocalist but also a songwriter, Pickler released her third studio album, 100 Proof, in 2011 to huge critical acclaim. The album was named the No. 1 Country Album of The Year by Rolling Stone and was listed on “Best of 2012” lists by Washington Post, Rhapsody, AOL’s The Boot and more. In spring of 2013, Pickler partnered with dance coach Derek Hough and won the Mirror Ball Trophy on “Dancing with the Stars.” In 2013, Pickler released her fourth album, The Woman I Am, on her new label home, Black River Entertainment. She co-wrote three songs on the critically acclaimed album, including the title cut. Currently working on new music with producers Kyle Jacobs and Matt McClure, Pickler released her new single “Feeling Tonight” on June 2, 2015. She recently launched her home goods line “Selma Drye by Kellie Pickler” in cooperation with the Opry Stores (shop.opry.com). In addition, she will star on FOX-TV’s “Knock Knock Live,” airing this summer, and the upcoming CMT reality show “I Love Kellie Pickler” due to air later this year. Pickler is also an avid supporter of the U.S. military, having recently completed her eighth USO Tour in December 2014. For more information, please visit www.kelliepickler.com.

Paul Schiminger Executive Director of IBMA - International Bluegrass Music Association - Music Charts Magazine® audio interview July 2015

Paul J. Schiminger

Executive Director of IBMA

International Bluegrass Music Association

Music Charts Magazine® from its beginning has sought to bring to you the truest history of music in different genres from industry professionals in all fields of music.

Big Al Weekley joined us as a Music Charts Magazine® partner not long after its formation.  In the process he brought his love of Bluegrass music with him.  With an encyclopedia of knowledge in Country, Bluegrass & Gospel music Big Al quickly updated us on the Bluegrass world, its history, and all it had to offer.

We since then have interviewed The Roys (www.theroysonline.com), Driven (www.drivenbluegrass.com), Mac Wiseman, Larry Sparks (www.larrysparks.com), Rhonda Vincent (www.rhondavincent.com) and so many others.  It has been a joy to learn about Bluegrass music, its history, and its growing popularity across the world.  Music Charts Magazine® with the guidance of Big Al started celebrating “International Bluegrass Month of May” three years ago.  During the month of May we feature some of the best in Bluegrass DJ’s and the shows on which they work hard to share their love of Bluegrass.  We have had the honor to work with Judith Burnette “Blue Ridge Backroads”, Darwin Davidson “BronzeWound”, Tim White “The Tim White Bluegrass Show”, Charlie Hall “Bluegrass Express” and of course Big Al Weekley “The Big Al Bluegrass Show”.

Big Al Weekley, who was a Top 5 Bluegrass Broadcaster of the Year at the IBMA Awards this past 2014, is honored to do this interview as his passion for Bluegrass music and its history is like that of Paul Schiminger’s.

Paul is a Certified Investment Management Analyst.  With a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from James Madison University in Virginia, and a Master of Science in Finance from Johns Hopkins University in Maryland we know Paul Schiminger is up for his new job with the IBMA and along with his love of Bluegrass will fill the position and take the role to new heights.

Join Big Al Weekley and Paul Schiminger in this interview as they discuss Paul’s new career, his vision for the IBMA, and of course the 2015 IBMA Awards Show that will be held Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts, Memorial Hall in Raleigh, NC.

Paul is not just some financial wizard that crunches numbers all day.. he is a fan of Bluegrass music, he has a heart for Bluegrass music and he also has a love for playing Bluegrass music.

Don’t take it as a fact but we have heard rumors at Music Charts Magazine® that the last time Paul picked up a banjo he played so fast sparks flew off the strings and they burnt a small hole in the ozone layer.  We figure that’s just more rays of sunlight Schiminger is letting in to shine on the IBMA.
