Will Tucker is a genuine old soul that can play the paint right off a guitar. I met Will a few years ago (I believe it was 2012) while in #Memphis #TN. It was #Elvis week and the place was a tourist hot spot for sure.
When walking down Memphis’s famous Beale Street I was interested in finding the best music talent in the city.
Being the social bug I am, I traveled the street for about two hours entering most all the night life establishments as well as talking to several of the locals and of course musicians playing off and on Beale Street. This was a most interesting experience which I thoroughly enjoyed. It was a unique cultural environment with much talent.
So… over the two hour journey.. One name was repeated over and over and over to me.
It was “Will Tucker“.
I finally ended up at BB Kings (the BB Kings headquarters) in the home city of Blues music.
BB Kings was packed. The most packed place on Beale Street that night for sure.
I was working my way through the crowd to see this #WillTuckerBand and heard a guitar playing that made me think.. “I am about to hear a gifted person, possibly a future legend to be”.
I did. His name – Will Tucker
Tucker blew my mind. He could play awesome and sing too.
The part that threw me off the most was what I found out later on. Tucker was BB Kings weekend headliner his whole teenage years. Playing in the “City of Blues” #Memphis.. at it’s busiest establishment #BBKings.. and the #Headliner/Feature act.. on the busiest nights Friday and Saturday. I said to myself .. hmmm.. here is this boy ( now a young man ) whom the world needs to hear and know about.
I have since told many about Will Tucker and will continue to be his fan and look forward to watching his even greater years to come.
I will never forget the repeated quote I heard about Will Tucker on #BealeStreet. It was “Will Tucker is the only guy in the world that has ever melted a guitar pic while playing live on stage”.

I am excited to announce publicly that I will have the honor of playing Mr. Scotty Moore on the upcoming CMT series “Million Dollar Quartet!” It is the highest …honor to portray the founder of Rock ‘n Roll electric guitar. For those of you who may not know, Scotty Moore was Elvis Presley’s first guitar player. He set his sound apart on all of Elvis’ Sun and early RCA recordings. I am excited to represent Memphis and “The Guitar That Changed the World” on television coming in November!
