NASHVILLE, Tenn. – (July 28, 2015) – Musical road warrior Eric Church, last year’s top selling country music artist, will be honored by the Country Music Hall of Fame® and Museum when he becomes the subject of their next cameo exhibition opening Sept. 18. “Eric Church: Inside the Outsider” runs through February 2016 and will spotlight the North Carolina native’s hard-hitting path from a kid with a dream to becoming a multi-Platinum-selling country rocker filling arenas, amphitheaters and stadiums. The display will include guitars, song manuscripts, stage wear, photos and more personally chosen from Church’s collection.

For those fans wanting to see and purchase unique Church memorabilia before September arrives, the acclaimed singer/songwriter will reopen his pop-up store, The Outsider’s Joint, on July 30-Aug. 1 in East Nashville. The Outsider’s Joint will also offer These Boots by Lucchese, Church’s custom boot line usually only available to VIP ticketholders. In addition, there will be a limited number of special edition posters commemorating the first Ascend Amphitheater show and Church’s regular line of tour merchandise, most available with concierge service to ship items to your home for free. Proceeds, excluding the Lucchese boots, will benefit the Chief Cares Fund, a 501c3 non-profit organized by Church and his wife Katherine that serves more than 2.5 million people around the world. The Outsider’s Joint’s first appearance during CMA Music Festival was a smash success that raised more than $20,000 for Church’s Chief Cares Fund.

The Outsider’s Joint will be located at 218 South 11 th Street in the 5 Points area of East Nashville across from the Bill Martin Grocery Store. Park at LP Field and receive a free ride to 5 Points (excluding tip) from JoyRide by calling (615) 285-9835, or use Uber code OUTSIDERS for $20 off your first ride. While there, a handful of local restaurants have special food and drink offers for those with Ascend Amphitheater tickets. The pop-up store hours are 12:00 PM-6:00 PM Thursday and Friday, and 10:00 AM-2:00 PM Saturday.

Church will christen Nashville’s new outdoor Ascend Amphitheater on July 30-31, making a rare second stop in Music City this year to perform two sold-out acoustic solo sets. He set a venue record in January when 18,411 fans crammed into Bridgestone Arena to catch The Outsiders World Tour, which is nearing one million tickets sold, has set five venue attendance records, and was ranked No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Tours recap in April.

Kenny Chesney Rose Bowl on Saturday, July 25 - Credit: Allister AnnBeyond 53,864 Fans Rocked, Keith Jackson Presented A Brick for the Walk

Pasadena, Calif. (July 26, 2015) —  For Kenny Chesney, playing “The Granddaddy of Them All” as ABC’s legendary sportscaster Keith Jackson deemed the Rose Bowl decades ago, was a bucket list item. And when he took the stage at the iconic venue built in 1922, he took it with all the intensity of every college football team that played there on New Year’s Day, the athletes at the ’84 Summer Olympics and the various teams at the many World Cup matches that have played there.

“You know when you wake up and you see that sign, you’re on hallowed ground,” Chesney said. “I’ve seen so many games played there, so much history – and I understand the heart it took from every athlete who’s ever come out of those tunnels. To stand on that stage, I knew I wanted to try to honor all those folks who’ve come before us.”

Beyond delivering a scorching two-hour show that included his 27th No. 1 “Wild Child” and the freewheeling GRAMMY-nominated “American Kids” from The Big Revival to a packed house, Chesney was further inspired by Keith Jackson surprising him backstage. As Jackson presented the East Tennessean with a commemorative brick to be placed in the Brick Walk at the South Main Entrance and the first ever Rose Bowl Stadium jersey, it was an emotional moment for the songwriter/superstar.

“There is so much history just hearing that voice,” Chesney marveled. “Let alone seeing that face: all those games, all those plays he called. That’s the sound of me growing up! And what an honor to get to sit a bit on the bus and talk to him about everything he’s seen… even before the show started, I was having a pretty high-powered time.”

It’s been a big summer for The Big Revival Tour. Chesney broke his own record at Pittsburgh’s Heinz Field with 55,381, Green Bay’s Lambeau Field with 53,363, Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field with 54,313 and Minneapolis’ Target Stadium for the third time with 44,152.  His intensity prompted The Dallas Morning News to write “Two parts Mick Jagger, one part Bruce Springsteen and one part Billy Graham” after his Texas/AT&T Stadium show.

His Rose Bowl set was no exception. With Reese Witherspoon, Vince Vaughn, Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis on the side of the stage, Chesney played 19 songs before taking a breath – and then returned with the night’s co-headliner Jason Aldean to play four more, including spirited covers of John Mellencamp’s “Hurt So Good” and Bryan Adams’ “Summer of ’69.”

“Those folks had had a long day in all that heat, but man, they were so ready for us… ready to hear the music, to sing along, to make every single song matter,” Chesney said. “When I dropped out during ‘Anything But Mine,’ they sang so clear and so true, you could’ve made a record out of it – and for me, they made a memory that will last a lifetime. To play a place where football means so much, especially to an audience that live, I’ll never forget it…”

With upcoming stadium shows at Denver’s Sports Authority Stadium at Mile High Aug. 8, E. Rutherford, NJ’s Met Life Stadium Aug. 15, Detroit’s Ford Field Aug. 22 and a double at Foxboro’s Gillette Stadium Aug. 28-29, the man The Wall Street Journal called “The King of the Road” will have headlined 135 stadium plays since his Washington, DC/Pittsburgh/Boston stadium run in 2005. Having taken a year to get ready for The Big Revival, it shows in the intensity of the shows, the fan and yes, the man from Tennessee.

The Hotdisc chart is compiled from DJs and industry professionals’ ratings of songs currently being promoted on the Rush Released CD. They are not airplay charts, as airplay charts cannot work in Europe because there are no terrestrial country stations. The hundreds of country programmes on air which we service are likely to play a particular song only twice at most in a three month period, therefore rendering airplay charts insignificant in Europe. It works well in America where there are plenty of non-stop country stations but it does not work here. Any Airplay Chart you may see claiming to provide this service is bogus and Hotdisc does not condone these charts at all. They are misleading at best for the reasons stated.

The Hotdisc charts are put together weekly using ratings supplied by DJs who give scores to every song on the last three months’ editions of Rush Released. The scores are averaged out per week to give an accurate guide to the songs which are being championed by the industry. The aim is to showcase the songs which the industry professionals are flagging up as quality songs. This is a very useful exercise as it is free of politics, hype and rigging and done solely on merit!

Pickler met Kyle’s parents earlier this year at CMA Music Festival in Nashville when they presented her with the 2015 Operation Troop Aid Chris Kyle Patriot Award for the acknowledgement for her unwavering and impassioned support and contributions to the United States Armed Forces and their families. The singer/songwriter has been a strong supporter of America’s military men and women and their families, and has performed on eight USO Tours thus far.

In-between work on “Knock Knock Live,” her upcoming CMT reality series “I Love Kellie Pickler,” and her home goods line in cooperation with the Opry Stores, “Selma Drye by Kellie Pickler,” the Black River Entertainment recording artist is also working on her next album.  Her first single, “Feeling Tonight,” is currently being heard on SiriusXM Satellite Radio.

About Kellie Pickler

Kellie Pickler grew up immersed in country music in the small town of Albemarle, North Carolina with the words of Tammy Wynette, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton shaping her musical footing. At the age of 19, she gained fame as a contestant on the fifth season of “American Idol.”  In 2006, she signed with 19 Recordings/BNA Records and released her debut album, Small Town Girl, which has gone on to sell more than 900,000 copies worldwide and produce three hit singles: “Red High Heels,” “I Wonder,” and “Things That Never Cross a Man’s Mind.” She followed that in 2008 with her self-titled sophomore record, featuring country radio hits “Don’t You Know You’re Beautiful,” “Best Days of Your Life” (co-written with Taylor Swift and her first Top 10), and “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You.”  Having established herself as not only a powerful vocalist but also a songwriter, Pickler released her third studio album, 100 Proof, in 2011 to huge critical acclaim. The album was named the No. 1 Country Album of The Year by Rolling Stone and was listed on “Best of 2012” lists by Washington Post, Rhapsody, AOL’s The Boot and more. In spring of 2013, Pickler partnered with dance coach Derek Hough and won the Mirror Ball Trophy on “Dancing with the Stars.” In 2013, Pickler released her fourth album, The Woman I Am, on her new label home, Black River Entertainment. She co-wrote three songs on the critically acclaimed album, including the title cut. Currently working on new music with producers Kyle Jacobs and Matt McClure, Pickler released her new single “Feeling Tonight” on June 2, 2015.
