The Hotdisc chart is compiled from DJs and industry professionals’ ratings of songs currently being promoted on the Rush Released CD. They are not airplay charts, as airplay charts cannot work in Europe because there are no terrestrial country stations. The hundreds of country programmes on air which we service are likely to play a particular song only twice at most in a three month period, therefore rendering airplay charts insignificant in Europe. It works well in America where there are plenty of non-stop country stations but it does not work here. Any Airplay Chart you may see claiming to provide this service is bogus and Hotdisc does not condone these charts at all. They are misleading at best for the reasons stated.

The Hotdisc charts are put together weekly using ratings supplied by DJs who give scores to every song on the last three months’ editions of Rush Released. The scores are averaged out per week to give an accurate guide to the songs which are being championed by the industry. The aim is to showcase the songs which the industry professionals are flagging up as quality songs. This is a very useful exercise as it is free of politics, hype and rigging and done solely on merit!

Music Charts Magazine® History

– Song for the month of November 2014:

Simon & Garfunkle “Bridge Over Troubled Water

Simon and Garfunkle - Bridge Over Troubled Water

“Bridge over Troubled Water” is a song by American music duo Simon & Garfunkel from their fifth studio album, Bridge over Troubled Water (1970). Produced by the duo themselves and Roy Halee, the song was released as the album’s lead single on January 26, 1970. Composed by singer-songwriter Paul Simon, the song is performed on piano and carries the influence of gospel music. The original studio recording employs elements of Phil Spector’s “Wall of Sound” technique.

It was the last song recorded for their fifth and final album, but the first fully completed. The song’s instrumentation was recorded in California while the duo’s vocals were cut in New York. Simon felt his partner, Art Garfunkel, should sing the song solo, to which he initially declined. Session musician Larry Knechtel performs piano on the song, with Joe Osborn playing bass guitar and Hal Blaine closing out the song with drums. The song won five awards at the 13th Annual Grammy Awards in 1971, including Grammy Award for Record of the Year and Song of the Year.

The song became Simon & Garfunkel’s biggest hit single, and it is often considered their signature song. It was a number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks, and it also topped the charts in the United Kingdom, Canada, France, and New Zealand. It was a top five hit in eight other countries as well. It became one of the most performed songs of the twentieth century, with over 50 artists, among them Elvis Presley and Aretha Franklin, covering the song. It was ranked number 48 on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

Angel Mary and The Tennessee Werewolves at Music Charts Magazine - NEW DISCOVERY for November 2014 - Jesse James Cave - Folsom Prison Blues Music Video - Photo by Adam StagnerMusic Charts Magazine® Presents – “NEW DISCOVERY” – “Angel Mary & The Tennessee Werewolves“- for the month of November 2014.

Looking for some “New” music to add to your player and can’t find anything that blows you away?

Check out this Music Charts Magazine® “NEW DISCOVERY” Interview with “Angel Mary & The Tennessee Werewolves” and be prepared to be excited knowing there is still 100% awesome music out there that you still have not heard.

After you listen to this great radio interview pasted below of “Angel Mary & The Tennessee Werewolves” we are sure you will be glad you found this “New Discovery” and their song “Loving You” to add to your music playlist.

This is the story of 3 werewolves.  Picture it.  There is a papa werewolf and his two offspring.  It’s a full moon.  Three unfamiliar sleek shadows appear upon the back of night stage wall.  The lights dim, guitars clash and symbols smash – Johnny Cash’s Folsom Prison rings through the big speakers and the crowd stands at attention.  Howls can be heard through the night skies.  The crowd goes wild as they realize that it is Angel Mary & The Tennessee Werewolves.

The 3, Angel Mary, her father Antoine and her brother Christian are locked in as Music Charts Magazine’s November 2014 NEW DISCOVERY and we predict that Angel Mary and The Tennessee Werewolves will be howling for many years to come.  “They are the future of a new breed of Outlaw Country Music”

~ Music Charts Magazine®

Angel Mary and The Tennessee Werewolves Music Video Folsom Prison Blues

Angel Mary and The Tennessee Werewolves a new family trio Country sensation bring a rebel yell to Country music.

With the cool collective sounds of old fashion dixie roots, bluegrass picking, Haggard styled lyrics and rocking high engery vocals. The Band Consist of Angel Mary on Lead Vocals and Guitar, Christian Wolf on Vocals and Drums, and Antoine Wolf on Vocals and Bass Guitar. Make no mistake this is a Family tradition,”pass the biscuits please “. Angel Mary , Christian Wolf and Antoine Wolf are all related.

Having a name as unique as this band, Angel Mary & The Tennessee Werewolves push forward on their music endeavors by reaching out, and stepping out of the box. The name being derived from Johnny Cash and his song the “Beast in Me ” from his American Recordings sparked the band to record Folsom Prison Blues, a song they hold close to heart. Not only did AMTW record this new epic single at the Cash Cabin where the American Reordings were recorded, they also had John Carter Cash co-produce the single and play an acoustic track on it. Giving it the “Cash” stamp of approval.

JACK BLANCHARD'S COLUMN at Music Charts Magazine®

A COLUMN TO MAKE YOU SMILE, #7.

AN OBITUARY.
The doctors did everything they could to treat him,
administering all the latest breakthrough drugs.
He died this morning of side effects.

I think they should put a “NO HOPPING” sign
on the White House fence.

No matter what you say somebody will take it too seriously.

HEALTH TIP #1…
I get my iron (ferrous) oxide from licking recording tape.

HEALTH TIP #2…
I only eat animals that are vegetarians.

People who deny global warming
are taking all the fun out of the end of the world.

HALLOWEEN SONG…
If I knew you were comin’ I’d have baked a cat.

Their eyes met and they ran toward each other in slow motion!
They whirled in each other’s arms!
He cracked his funnybone on the back of a chair,
but he didn’t let on.

I just asked Misty what we’re having for supper.
She said, “The kind of food that you throw at each other.”

SPIRIT MESSAGE FROM THE OTHER SIDE…
“Would you take Mickey Rooney Back?”

I’m a Democrat but I voted for two Republican presidents.
I had a lot of money at the time
and I didn’t want the needy to get any of it.
I’m more angelic now.

BUFFALO REVISITED…
My old stomping ground is nicer than I left it.
Like somebody cleaned up after me.

Lab tests have shown that if you put a bunch of mice in a box
and let them multiply without enlarging the box,
they start to look at each other funny.
There are more crazy mice and they start attacking others.
Some of the crazy ones form groups.
That’s what’s happening now with humans.

THANKSGIVING FACTS…
In England they celebrate that the Pilgrims left.
